This is a Taiwanese food place in The Gardens, Midvalley and I believe they also have branches in Sri Hartamas and Imbi I think. I was introduced to this when my sis brought me and my parents there months ago.
I was shopping over the weekend and decided to head back here for lunch. The decor and interior is very nice and modern with a strong hint of Chinese culture. They serve various Taiwanese dishes here from famous Taiwan street food like those you find in Shilin Night Market as well various other traditional Taiwanese dishes.
Their Red Wine Fried Rice is pretty good here, basically rice, fried with the paste from red rice wine, added with prawns and beans. However for a plate of fried rice, its not cheap, a whopping RM 12.80! Then again, you pay for the environment I guess
.
The other special thing ordered is their Taiwan Burger, its basically this “pau” like pastry with a piece of fattish stewed pork inside topped with powdered peanuts and sugar… then the bottom of it is a sourish sauce and “mui choy” (a type of dried salted vegetables). It’s quite nice and priced at RM7.80.
To finish off the meal, a pot of “gui hua plus oolong” tea at RM10.00 which you can refill as much as you want but only limited to 2 cups. The tea is of quite high quality because after 4-5 rounds of refilling, the tea still taste very good
