Penang – Tanjung Bungah Goreng Pisang

This van in Tanjung Bungah just before Batu Ferringi is another must visit for me when I am in Penang, unfortunately, this visit, they ran out of their famous goreng pisang (banana fritters… :( ). They used riped bananas and I observed that they fried the bananas twice before the fritters is ready.

The yam fritters here are nice too, don’t know why but the yam is soft like cotton here when you bite into the fritters. The nian gao fried with yam and sweet potato is also good here.

Lesson learnt, best time to visit is mid noon, after 5pm, might not get anymore yummy banana fritters! Anyhow I bought a mix of the rest, about RM7 plus for 10 pieces. Nevertheless, I am still very satisfied with the yam fritters ;) .

But.. how good is their goreng pisang, see this old pix I took last year and you will know ;)
