Was out with John & Joe for lunch in Puchong on our way to buy some seafood for bbq… John kept telling me how nice and how long the queue is for Gao Ren Guan in Puchong (just opposite Leong Ar) on weekends. Just this morning, John SMS me that they have open up another branch in SS15/4E in Subang Jaya, must be doing well:D.

They have quite a wide varieties like steamed salted chicken (RM20 for half bird), braised yam pork belly, pork intestine fried with pineapple, etc.
[flickr]photo:3121254075[/flickr]We ordered 2 of the recommended dishes, which is the stuffed tau pok with pork/vege inside and also the stuffed bittergound with pork/vege inside… small size at RM12 each. We added a fried nam yu pork belly and braised pig offal (meaning internal organs) at RM8 each.
First up is the braised stuffed tau pok, its a very light soupy dish with the tau pok absorbing all the juices, very nice. The bittergound is likewise, its the same stuffing and way of cooking. It quite nice and the soup is great with rice to me.
The braised pig offal is very soft and tender, certain parts have fats but you don’t really feel too oily. The namyu pork belly are deep fried to crisped with a very nice aroma.

At least here you can order small portion of everything and try
