Taman Sentosa, Klang – Dry Bak Kut Teh @ Yip Weng

On the main road (Jalan Sg Jati) in Taman Sentosa Klang, there’s a corner shop with red signboard that is famous for its bak kut teh, they also have the dry version here. Its the cornershop on Lorong Bendehara 20B.

They serve the normal soup based bak kut teh as well as the dry bak kut teh (fried with dried chilies, dried cuttlefish and lady fingers in dark soya sauce). I ordered 1 portion of the dry one and 1 portion of the soup with a bowl of yau char kueh.

The soup one is quite good, the soup is thick but not too salty and tasty. They are also very generous with the soup where they will bring a big mug and fill until you tell them to stop.

I find the dry portion to be very small and not enough dried cuttlefish, so taste wise is a bit on the light side. I still prefer the dry bkt at soon seng behind Klang Parade instead ;) .

I bumped into Ah Fai, my friend from Kelantan (he came all the way with his gf’s family in Kuchai Lama to eat here) at Yip Weng to my surpise and since I have not been able to meet up with him much, I belanja him as well. The total from my table of 2 and his table of 5 adds up to RM111.00.
