OUG, KL: Weekend Breakfast

My mum have been telling me about how much of goodies there is to eat at OUG as she frequently travel there with her “si lai tong” (aunty gang) to shop at the wet market and for breakfast. So one fine itchy saturday morning, me, miharu, kiddie, ciku and ed went there for breakfast.

Just outside the wet market parking entrance, you will notice a row of shop and just outside the shop, the whole road is lined with tables and chairs in open air style in between 2 coffeeshops at both corners. We decided to joined the fun and check out what is the fuss all about.

Ciku and kiddie shared a pork noodles and ordered some chee cheong fun for us to share. I contribute popiah for sharing while having a whole bowl of pork belly pepper soup noodles to myself while miharu got the lam mee which looks nothing like lam mee and with a lot of prawns inside. As for Ed, he just ate all our contribution, hahaha… well done Ed, can’t finish without you :P .

The food was good but what is cool is their prices here are still very reasonable at RM3.50-3.80 per bowl, with big prawns, just imagine. The funny thing is that they sort have a trend going on here, everyone that serve you food bring in on a tray. The tray will have an old can (from can food) which have lots of coins or small notes in it for changing money on the spot, quite cute :) .

Parking however is a nightmare here, now I remember why I seldom come here. Unfortunately we are a bit late, otherwise there are a lot of goodies to check out as we noticed the busy activities at the market with people selling biscuits, kueh, flowers, fruits, etc.

Maybe wait for another itchy weekend morning, will try to check out this place again earlier in the morning ;) .
