This is really a very simple but delicious and beneficial soup to cook. This soup is known to have very good cooling effect for the body, especially good since we like to take spicy and fried food all the time.

To prepare this, I used the below:

1. Pork ribs

2. Old cucumbers

3. Red dates

4. Dried cuttlefish

5. Optionally roast pork bone

6. A little pepper and salt for taste

First in a mid size pot, fill it 3/4 with water and bring it to a boil. Then put in the roast pork bone (optional, this give the soup a different kind of taste) and pork ribs (do clean up the fats first). When the soup comes to a boil again, put it on the lowest fire and put in cutted up old cucumbers, sliced dried cuttlefish and seedless red dates.

Let the soup boil for the next 1-1.5 hours until all the taste is out from the pork, then season with pepper and salt to you taste before serving ;)

I just been to Perth lately and had been travelling around Western Australia (down to Augusta and up to Geraldton)… it was just great and since a friend of mine will be going soon, I had come up with a suggested itinerary for her and her husband to plan their trip.

It generally provides some details on Perth, the route south to Bunsburry, Busselton then Margaret River and Augusta. I thought it would be a good idea to share it as well since I had already done the work. Anyway its just based on my experience from my trip, so do go through your other research on the web.

We had some chores to do at Puchong and ah John-san was kind enough to take us for breakfast while we waited for Miharu’s car tinting to be done. So, he brought us to this place in Bandar Puteri known as the “928 Nice to Eat Food Centre”… haha… what a name but I guess they are just really trying to tell us something.. haha..

This place is located just after the badminton hall and before the new shops. Next to it is what KC described in his tweet as a super clean market and I must agreed. The building is a combination of food court, wet market and some shops and the toilet is really clean when I used it.

Anyway, the varities of hawkers food here is plenty with the usual wantan mee, yau char kwai, mix rice, porridge, noodles… just a lot to mentioned. I didn’t managed to try all but we just ordered a mix pork porridge and a wantan mee with white chicken.

The porridge is not bad actually but the only thing is the deep fried pork intestines have this strong oily taste in it, but it was really churncy though. The wantan mee according to Miharu is ok la… so I guess the food here is not bad but the plus point is that there’s a lot of choices to choose ;)

Anyway, thank you to John-san for taking us there to makan ;)
