I think the last time I had fish and chips last like last year July when I was at Fremantle having Cicerello’s – WA’s No. 1 Fish ‘n Chips!
I didn’t had much of thought about Fish & Co. because the appearance of the place really did not attract me at all but Miharu was in the mood for some fish and chips and so we ended up here.
We ordered the fried calamari as starters, that set us back by RM10.90 but it was really good. Calamari are thinly siliced and deep fried with coating of batter and herbs. The calamari goes great with the chili sauce provided.
Next up are some traditional fish and chips for me, RM9.90. Its a decent piece of deep fried fish, crispy from the outside but flaky soft from the inside. Its a little oily to me but the fries that goes with it are good. I asked for some vinegar to go with it but unfortunately the vinegar served here are really those you get at Cicerello’s, its just too strong.
Miharu had the New York fish and chips which is stuffed with cheese and its a little cheesy but better fragrant and rich at RM10.90.
Overall, the food here is good, service not too bad but would just been great if they had good and light vinegar for the fish
