Ipoh: Big Tree Foot Yong Tau Foo

We were on the way up to Penang for a few days of makan and we made a quick stop at Pasir Panji in Ipoh for breakfast for the famous yong tau foo under at the big tree foot.

There are various types of yong tau foo (yong liew as they called it there) available here and mainly are big in size and different from those you see in KL. My personal favourite is the sar kok liew and the beancurd skin (with the yummy, tasty and generous fish paste in them).

We ordered a whole table full of them with noodles to share and it cost RM30++… pretty good pricing yet delicious. This place closed on a Wednesday as I had experience coming here twice on a Wednesday.

Best is to come slightly earlier before lunch as this place is pack during lunch time and 11am plus is a very nice time. This is definitely one of my favourite stops in Ipoh, yum yum!

Yeah, my personal favourite too. Aside from the one nearby at Nam Fatt (with air-cond), and also the one at Gunung Rapat (Kwong Hong).
