PJ: Fried Fish Head & Bak Kut Teh @ Chiew Sang Restaurant

We didn’t know what to eat one afternoon and wanted to try something new and so John says he will take us to this shop his friend took him in SS3, PJ. I had actually passed Chiew Sang many times but thought they only sells bak kut teh.

The moment you walked in to Chiew Sang you will see an Indian guy making the bak kut teh in front, as Brian called it Indian BKT… LOL…

Anyhow, we got a table for 8 and John ordered their famous fried fish head, some clear soup bak kut teh, their stewed bak kut teh, a tofu plus a vege dish.

The fried fish head is very tasty with a good hint of spiciness in it, very appetizing to go with rice. Fish is fresh and we almost cleaned the plate.

I like the clear soup bak kut teh, this is almost the teow chew style, clear but yet tasty and light. The only unfortunate part is that we ordered for 3 and the portion is still relatively small.

The other dish we had is the stewed bak kut teh, this is something new, basically they are very tasty stewed pork, very tender and tasty with the nice and thick stewed sauce.

I enjoyed the lunch here very much but only thing for me is the portion is a little small, so you gotta order a bit more and the price is not that cheap, so be prepared to spend a little more but at least the food here is good :).
