Kuantan: Lunch @ Restoran Mei Hiong

We took a day off our weekend holiday in Cherating to Kuantan for some local Chinese food. I searched around the web and Restoran Mei Hiong seems to be highly recommended. We were there early at 11.30am and they are yet ready for the day, so we had to come back at 12pm when they opened.

There are two shops together, one side is open and the other is air conditioned. This place is famous for sharks and most of the cooking style are Teow Chew.

We ordered a stir fried sharks, steam stingray, steam lala, some tofu and vege.  The shark is cooked spicy and goes great with rice, the lala and stingray are fresh and a simple steam is good enough for us.

Overall we were satisfy with the cooking here, we cleaned up the dishes and everyone walked away happy. Price was good too, RM106 for all the dishes with rice/tea for 7 adults. Highly recommend this place for a good seafood makan in Kuantan 🙂
