What better to cool down a hot day than a cup of yo yo ice (yau yau ping). Comes in all sort of flavours such as red bean, lychee, assam boi, longan, etc.

I had mine at Restoran Yo Yo Ice. This place is located near the Giant hypermarket in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang. They also sell some very good and crispy fried chickens.

The yo yo ice goes for RM1.50 per cup, you can mix 2 flavour or have the same kind in a cup. Its basically crushed ice flavoured with different taste.

The yummy fried chicken goes from RM2.00 to RM2.20 depending which part you take. Outside is crispy while inside are still soft and tender. Very nice and good for sitting down and chit chat the day away kind of place ;)

My buddies, the rooster and the cicak whom are from port klang and klang have been telling me about this place a lot, so I decided to pop by last weekend to check it out. What was promoted to me about this place are mainly their curry chicken rice but I was glad when I found out they also serve hainan char siew (roast pork) which I had a chance to try many years ago.

So we got greedy and we start to order a whole lot of stuff, curry chicken, assam fish, pork popiah (lobak), hainan char siew, pineapple intestines, pork blood and intestines soup, etc. The key here is to eat the rice with their special curry gravy, its looks like a thick curry sauce with some dark sauce in it and not spicy at all, just very strong curry taste. The idea is to flood the rice with the curry and go with the dishes.

The chicken in the curry are cooked soft but my favourite here seems to be the hainan char siew which are lean pork roast cripsy with a layer of sweet caramel. The others are quite good too.

Pricing are so so, RM3 for a piece of curry chicken, RM3 for a piece of hainan char siew, etc. But they will cut all these up for you to be shared. Definately yummy and something to go back to BBT for :)

Boston Baru is the name, and its right in Klang town. Unfortunately I was only here for supper and didn’t have enough room for a full meal (after my dried bkt :P ). Anyhow I only blame my klang local friend for not highlight enough about this place to me in the first place.

Ok, back to this place, every table you can see have Steam Lala, that is almost like a must here. The whole street are their tables and you have to wait on average 30-40mins for it. We only ordered the steam lala and a vege just to give it a try.

After more than 30 mins wait, our steam lala finally came, covered with fried garlics and ginger slices. The stock are tasty retaining juices from the lala and the first taste, wow, fantastic. As you suck the lala in, so does the stock which give it a good delicious and balance taste, top with ginger and crunchy fried garlic, marvelous! I can understand now why its such a popular dish here. The vege though is oily and lack taste.

I was told that the dried fry keow teow here is good, maybe I will try that next time. This place only opens at 7pm till late night.
