This place in SS19, Subang Jaya (same row as Hong Leong Bank) have been around for a very long time, I used to go there after school for lunch with friends during secondary school ;). Anyhow, the stall here serve excellent pan mee for those who likes soft pan mee.

Look for the pan mee stall, you have to go there, take a number and sit down. Later, when its your turn to order, they will come and get your orders. On weekends, the queue can get pretty long. We were lucky that day, waited less than 10 minutes to be served and our food came another 5 minutes later.

The pan mee here are teared by hand and they make it thick and soft, I mean really soft, probably best to eat with a spoon. I had the dried one, its quite different and yummy with lots of toppings plus again, good pan mee can’t go without good chili sauce ;).

RM4.00 for a big bowl and RM3.50 for a small one. The other thing unique is that the coffeeshop also sells sugar cane and coconut juice :).

If you do go Sg Way during lunch time, check out this place, pretty decent food. If you come up from the federal highway to Sg Way main street, turn right after the wet market and its on your left after the bicycle shop and parking lot. Its just zinc roof with a big tree on top.

We tried the pan mee here, I had the dried one and we ordered some extra dumpling. The pan is quite decent but what makes it good is really the chili sauce itself! The toppings for the pan mee are plenty full as well. Dumpling is big and nice too at RM1 each. Pan mee is RM3.50 and herbal tea is about RM1.00. There is also a tai chow stall next door where you can have fried noodles, rice, etc.

We were hashing in FRIM in Kepong and just outside FRIM locates Kg Kepong Ulu. Just as you enter the Kampung, turn right and there are a few makan place. So our good friend The Bull went and scout the area and he told us there are BKT. So the whole group of 7 mountain bikers head there and found out that the 3 big pots are actually not BKT.

Anyhow, we parked our bikes and check out what they have there. You have the choice of curry noodles, pork noodles or pan mee. The shop does not have any signboard, so look for the 3 big pots and some sitting area outside next to the car wash. I ordered the dry pan mee while The Bull ordered the curry noodles.

The curry noodles looks really impressive and yummy when it arrived with generous amount of toppings but it just taste normal. The dried pan mee was really good and we actually share another one since its so yummy and we had sort of burned out our energy in FRIM, which is a very nice and scenic place to cycle btw. Put some of its chili paste and the pan mee is covered with minced meat and fried anchovies.

Excellent place to makan after a good exercise, recommended for the dried pan mee ;).

In Kota Kemuning, at Jalan Anggerik Vanila 31/R (who in MBSA think of such road name???) in Shah Alam, there’s a Pan Mee Restaurant that specialized in Pan Mee. As we usually know there are the soup based and dry pan mee. This place however, have became a little creative and is offering Pan Mee in Curry, Hokkien Fried Pan Mee and my favourite Stir Fried Pan Mee.

As the pan mee itself is quite hard, unless you have good and soft pan mee, it would definitely not taste good frying it. This place proved that wrong with its Pan Mee version of char keoy teow. The pan mee is fried just like the usual keoy teow, you have eggs, pork, cockles, crispy pork lard, taugeh, prawns, etc. The noodles are soft like keoy teow and is able to absorb the taste yet filling and good. Its RM5.50 (5% service charge applies) per plate, a little on the high side but worth eating once in a while.

The hokkien fried one is not bad as well but the rest are normal to me. They have serve a good variety of snacks, side dishes and drinks. Environment is quite and relaxing, good place to hang out plus ample of parking!
