We was on my way back to KL on the highway when hunger strikes and so we decided to stop by at Seremban for lunch. Driving aimlessly I drove to Jalan Temiang and saw a few places I could check out.

I had passed by 2020 food court many times but have not eaten here before. As I was there way passed lunch time, most of the stalls are closed except for some vegetarian stall and a yong tau foo stall. We decided to give the yong tau foo a try and we did not regret it!

This stall is owned by Happy Days Corner and there is a huge type of varieties to choose from. The yong tau foo can be taken on its own or you can order noodles. I took a few and took it with curry noodles. The curry soup is great but only thing is the mee is kind of sticker and soft, so I would say avoid the mee and choose something else.

The yong tau foo itself its good, these are fish paste based and they are really good. I da bao a bunch of them after my meal back for dinner too!

They only open at 2pm and would usually close by 7pm, so this is another after lunch but before dinner place to eat but the food is good ;). So if you are on for a late lunch or early dinner in Seremban, this is a place to consider!

This yong tau foo stall is located in Big Tree Food Garden which is next to the big tree foot yong tau foo. I was here on a Wednesday and since big tree foot is closed, I gave this stall a try.

The queue at this stall is long with a lot of people dining and da bao-ing away even though its already 3pm in the afternoon. The yong tau foo here starts at 50 cents per piece, very reasonable price not like KL where YTF is becoming an expensive food to enjoy.

There are various types of ytf that’s unique to Ipoh again and tonnes of fried ytf to choose from. My favourite is a fish paste with a lot of chinese parsley inside that’s deep fried, its really good.

Basically I took 2 full bowls plus 3 bowls of dried lou shi fun (short rice noodles) for 3 person and it cost RM13!

Best part is I can order a nice big glass of red bean ice (hung dao ping) to enjoy with the yummy yong tau foo. Each of us walked away with additional ytf we da bao to bring back to KL to enjoy.

The yong tau foo is really good too but comparing to big tree foot next door is a little oily for me but perfect for those who love it crispy!

There are various types of yong tau foo (yong liew as they called it there) available here and mainly are big in size and different from those you see in KL. My personal favourite is the sar kok liew and the beancurd skin (with the yummy, tasty and generous fish paste in them).

We ordered a whole table full of them with noodles to share and it cost RM30++… pretty good pricing yet delicious. This place closed on a Wednesday as I had experience coming here twice on a Wednesday.

Best is to come slightly earlier before lunch as this place is pack during lunch time and 11am plus is a very nice time. This is definitely one of my favourite stops in Ipoh, yum yum!
